4 Dead, Over Dozen Injured After Bus Falls Into 100-Metre Deep Gorge In Uttarakhand
According to initial reports, the bus lost its balance on the road leading to Pauri Garhwal's Central School and fell into a deep gorge in Uttarakhand.

Five people died and 17 others were injured after a bus fell into a 100-metre gorge in Uttarakhand's Pauri Garhwal district on Sunday.
The police and district authorities have arrived on the spot and efforts to rescue the injured are underway.
According to the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), the accident took place near Dahalchauri where the bus went out of control and fell into a 100 meters deep gorge.
The bus, with 22 passengers on board, was en route to Dahalchauri from Pauri, as per officials. While four people died on the spot, another succumbed later.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his condolences over the incident and said that the relief and rescue operations are underway by the local administration and the injured are being treated at the nearest hospital.

"Received very sad news about the death of four passengers due to a bus accident on the way to Kendriya Vidyalaya in Pauri. I pray to God to grant the souls of the departed a place in His feet and provide strength to the bereaved family to bear this pain. Relief and rescue operations are underway by the local administration and the injured are being treated at the nearest hospital. I pray to Baba Kedar for the speedy recovery of the injured," Dhami said in a post on X.
Meanwhile, the locals also helped in conducting the rescue operation after the accident and the injured were taken to Pauri district hospital. Eight of the injured have been referred to a higher health center in Srinagar in critical condition.
Pauri District Magistrate Ashish Chauhan reached the spot and conducted a speedy rescue operation under his supervision. He has directed the officials of the Transport Department to investigate the causes of the accident. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep grief over the accident and also prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
