A two-and-a-half-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her 45-year-old dance teacher durig a summer camp in Maharashtra's Ulhasnagar. The accused teacher has been arrrested. 

The incident came to light when the child returned home, crying in pain. It was only when the alarmed parents questioned her that they came to know about the incident. They approached the local police station and lodged a complaint. This prompted an immediate search operation to locate and arrest the accused, India Today reported.

Following the parent’s complaint, the accused was arrested by the Vitthalwadi police from his residence during a late-night raid conducted under the guidance of deputy commissioner of police (DCP) Sachin Gore, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Amol Koli, and senior police inspector (PI) Anil Padwal. 

The accused was presented before a court in Ulhasnagar the following day, where he was sent to police custody for three days, the report said.

Investigators are currently recording statements from other children who attended the camp to determine whether any of them were also subjected to abuse or experienced any troubling incidents.

9-Year-Old Girl Gang-Raped, Murdered In Bihar

A nine-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped and murdered by five people in Bihar's Saran district, police said on Saturday. The accused also included three underaged boys, news agency PTI reported. 

Police stated that after murdering her, the accused dumped her body near a brick kiln in Bhateshari village, which comes within Jalalpur police station limits.

Two persons have been arrested and three minor boys have been detained in connection with the incident. According to the complaint filed by the victim’s family, the girl was returning from school, when the accused overpowered and gang-raped her. They then killed her on Friday.

"After sexually assaulting the girl, the accused murdered her and dumped her body near a brick kiln", police said.
