Meeting on power sectors' stressed assets in pipeline: Sources

New Delhi [India], June 12 (ANI): A top government official has said that a stakeholder meeting to discuss stressed assets in the power sector is expected to take place later this month.

This comes after the meeting held between Finance Minister Piyush Goyal, Power Minister RK Singh and officials from the two ministries on Monday, the source told ANI.

Goyal, while addressing a press conference, said the Finance and Power ministries will work together to ensure adequate power supply, after meeting RK Singh earlier yesterday.

Meanwhile, the government source also said that public sector banks (PSBs) which are on the verge of coming under Prompt Corrective Action (PCA) will see an improvement in health within the next quarter or two.

The official further stated that no more PSBs are expected to be recommended for corrective action in the near future, in response to media reports suggesting otherwise. (ANI)
