New Delhi: In mid-January, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman last week launched the new mobile app by the name 'Union Budget Mobile App' for hassle-free access to Budget documents by the MPs and the general public using the simplest form of digital convenience. Both the houses of parliaments Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha approved of the initiative. Budget was presented in a 'Made-In-India' tablet, which was brought in with a red tablet sleeve emulating the 'Bahi Kata'.

- Search for the 'Union Budget Mobile App' and download.
- Alternatively, you can download the Union Budget app by NIC e-gov mobile apps.

The app was developed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC) under the guidance of the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), the mobile app facilitates access to 14 Union Budget documents, including the Annual Financial Statement (commonly known as Budget), Demand for Grants (DG), Finance Bill, etc., as prescribed by the Constitution." The 2021 Budget is unique in many ways, this will be the first ever paperless budget.
Budget 2021 was designed by Nirmala Sitharaman and her team which consisted of Revenue Secretary Ajay Bhushan Pandey, Chief Economic Advisor Krishamurthy Subramanian, Financial Services Secretary Debasish Panda, secretary of the Department of Investment and Public Asset Management Tuhin Kanta Pandey, Economic Affairs Secretary Tarun Bajaj, Expenditure Secretary T.V. Somanathan.
The Economic Survey, released on Friday, projected a GDP contraction of 7.7% for the year ending March 2021 and V-shaped recovery in the next. GDP growth is seen expanding by 11% in the 2021-22 fiscal (April 2021 to March 2022).
