Century SUV revealed: Most luxurious Toyota?
The Century SUV is based on a different platform than the Century sedan and is similar to the architecture used on a Lexus RX.
Toyota has revealed it's SUV version of the Century luxury car and this SUV is primarily aimed at chauffeur driven markets while being sold in limited numbers across Japan and some markets The Century SUV is based on a different platform than the Century sedan and is similar to the architecture used on a Lexus RX.
It has a similar styling theme to the Century sedan and that is seen with the lighting along with the front end. The Century SUV gets twin stripe LEDs and a two tone paint which is more luxurious in appearance and similar to other luxury SUVs.
The Century SUV is massive and is around 5.2 metres long and that makes it as huge as the Land Cruiser. Exact dimensions are a 5205mm length, 1990mm width and being 1805mm tall, while there is a 2950mm wheelbase.
The focus has been on the rear seat with a captain seat four seater layout and having a more luxurious vibe like the Century sedan. There are proper reclining seats at the back with loads of space and features like a first class cabin. The dashboard is touchscreen dominated and is also similar to the Century SUV.
The rear doors open 75 degrees for easy entry and exit while you can choose power sliding doors as well. The powertrain on the Century SUV is a 3.5 litre petrol V6 along with an electric motor while it is a plug in hybrid. There is also rear wheel steering to cut the turning circle and a special comfort mode for better ride and removing jolts from stopping the car. There is also noise removing glass being used inside.
Owners will be able to customise the Century SUV and only a select number of Toyota dealerships will sell the Century SUV. As of now the Century SUV is only for Japan but as a CBU it can come to India but in limited numbers.
