New Tata Curvv: The EV version will come with a large battery pack which will give it more range than Nexon EV

The Tata Curvv is set to launch soon, with the EV version debuting on August 7. Meanwhile, the ICE version will feature new powertrain combinations not previously available. In this article, we will provide all the essential details you need to know, including some information still pending confirmation from Tata Motors.

Dimensions and exteriors

The Curvv has a length of 4330 mm while it also has a wheelbase of 2560 mm plus a width of 1810 mm. The boot capacity of 500 litres is something which also is more than rivals while the Curvv EV has a frunk too.

The exteriors get 18-inch alloy wheels which come with aero inserts while flush door handles are also a premium feature. The Curvv EV gets a slightly differentiated grille with a blanked off element while it will get EV specific colours as well.

Interiors and features

Both the EV and the ICE version get a 12.3-inch touchscreen along with a digital instrument cluster which also shows the maps. Then you get a phygital control panel like the Nexon while you also have a voice assisted panoramic sunroof. Other features include a 6-way powered driver seat and a 6-way adjustable passenger seat with ventilation.

Then you have iRA connected car tech, voice assistance, Level 2 ADAS, powered tailgate, mood lighting, powered handbrake, 6 airbags and more. A JBL audio system with modes is also expected. The EV version will come with V2V and V2L too.

Powertrains

The Curvv will get not one but three ICE powertrains and the EV version will come first of course. The EV version will come with a large battery pack which will give it more range than Nexon EV. There would be two turbo petrol powertrains while the base version would be the one on the Nexon, there would also be a new 1.2l turbo GDI engine. This new turbo petrol will develop more power and torque than the current 1.2l turbo with 125bhp and 225Nm. There would be a diesel too with 115 hp power and 260 Nm. An automatic dual clutch is also available with all of three powertrains plus drive modes.
