The new KTM 390 Adventure X will be the more affordable version of the 390 Adventure but here there is a new look. The 2025 390 Adventure X like its 390 Adventure sibling has a new platform too while the powertrain is shared with the 390 being a 399cc, single-cylinder engine which develops 46hp and 39Nm. The Adventure X is the more budget focussed model and is less off-road focussed too.

This bike comes with a 6-speed gearbox along with a slipper clutch while it also has a bi-directional quickshifter. It also has ride-by-wire, off-road ABS, five inch TFT display, turn-by-turn navigation and LED lighting. The ground clearance is same as the new 390 Adventure while now it has non adjustable suspension.

Hence, the Adventure X would be nearly the same in terms of off-road ability while the 390 Adventure could be slightly better. Crucially, it is lighter than the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and even slightly lighter than the 390 Adventure. The 390 Adventure X would be the more attractive ADV for riders getting into this segment and while there are differences especially in terms of equipment, the 390 Adventure X is the more value for money option. However, we do expect an increase in the price for these new KTM bikes.
