Mercedes-AMG has bolstered its performance range portfolio with another addition in the form of the E53 AMG Cabriolet. This sports car comes in CBU form in India and is priced at Rs 1.3 cr. This is the first car launch of 2023.

It is a four-seater two-door convertible AMG while packing in lots of performance thanks to the 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine which makes 435hp while it gets a further power post as well. The standard gearbox is a 9-speed automatic.

Top-speed of the car is 250 km/h and the car comes with various AMG specific styling details including a sportier grille and a different bumper design. In terms of more peformance statistics, the 0-100 km/h is only 4.6 seconds, which is very fast and comparable to other supercars while adding a convertible experience.

Inside, too you get a different AMG specific steering wheel in a flat-bottomed shape along with sport seats too. There is plenty of space inside and more than a supercar too 

 

It also has a fabric roof and a neck heater amongst other features since this is a four seater convertible. Like any Mercedes also, the E53 AMG Cabriolet gets a premium Burmester audio system, a heated steering wheel and a 64 color ambient lighting feature and more.

 

The E53 AMG Cabriolet is having no rivals in India and occupies a niche in terms of being a fast convertible which also offers luxury.

 

The E53 sedan is already on sale in India and the Cabriolet version adds to the range while being slightly more expensive.

 

Mercedes-Benz has the longest peformance car range in India and that includes the AMG line-up of SUVs, sports cars and sedans along with a Cabriolet too.
