Kia Sonet 1.2 With Sunroof Is Now Under Rs 10 Lakh, Here's All About Features And Specs

Priced at Rs 9.76 lakhs the Sonet 1.2 HTK+ with the sunroof is designed to steal away the limelight from newer launches in this segment.

We have recently seen how the sunroof remains the most sought-after feature and manufacturers are making variants with sunroof more affordable. Case in point the Kia Sonet which now gets a more affordable sunroof-equipped variant with 1.2 petrol. Previously, the Sonet with the turbo petrol 1.0l was available with a sunroof only now the HTK+ variant is available with the 1.2 petrol which puts the price below Rs 10 lakhs.

Priced at Rs 9.76 lakhs the Sonet 1.2 HTK+ is designed to steal away the limelight from newer launches in this segment. The 1.2 petrol generates 82 bhp and along with the sunroof gets features like a rearview camera, climate control, four airbags, an 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple Carplay with wireless phone projection, 4 speakers and 2 tweeters and Auto Headlamps.

The 83 bhp 1.2 petrol gets a 5-speed manual while the turbo petrol 120 bhp 1.0 motor is available with a dual-clutch transmission (DCT) automatic as an option while there is also a 1.5 diesel which brings in a torque converter automatic along with a clutchless manual or Intelligent Manual Transmission (iMT).

Giving a better-equipped 1.2 petrol Sonet broadens the appeal of the sub-compact SUV while making the sunroof more affordable.

The compact SUV space has seen a lot of action off late with new variants with the likes of the Hyundai Exter and the Tata Punch getting a sunroof while the Sonet bringing in a sunroof at a lower price point would be an attractive option too for buyers.

Kia recently launched the new Seltos and plans to launch new cars going ahead including premium Electric vehicles (EVs) and SUVs in the future.
