Mahindra XUV700 AX7L 2024 First Look Review

Mahindra has enhanced it with significant updates and introduced new features XUV700 AX7 and AX7L variants along with a new black theme all over the car.

The XUV700 has been immensely successful, but facing competition from newer rivals, Mahindra has enhanced it with significant updates and introduced new features. Since its launch, the XUV700 has enjoyed strong sales, and Mahindra has now addressed any feature gaps while also embracing the trend of all-black styling. Let's take a closer look at the 2024 XUV700 with its new black package.

Appearance

These updates are mainly for the AX7 and AX7L variants along with a new black theme all over the car. While all XUV700 variants have a new Napoli Black shade, the top-end XUV700 has a further blacked-out look with a new black grille, black alloys, and roof rails.

With the all-black grille, the XUV700 looks more aggressive and an all-black look suits the car although we also wish that the silver skid plate would also be black. At the side, the chrome lining has been swapped out for an all-black look and the black alloys are a tasteful upgrade too.

The rear does not get much in terms of visual changes with the same silver skid plate. The interiors are not all black though and carry forward the same theme although there is more usage of dark chrome on the vents. The more important bit includes the features additions with cooled seats finally being offered although you have to dive into the menu to operate it on the touchscreen. There is also a memory function for the ORVM position along with the driver seat.

Addition With Cooled Seats

The other highlight being the addition of AX7 and AX7 L with 6-seater or 7-seater configurations. Captain seats in the second row were needed to boost the comfort factor now with the seat being reclinable along with the armrest. There is also a manual boss mode where you can move the front passenger seat.

The equipment levels otherwise have now more connected car tech features than before along with the usual equipment list.

In terms of the powertrains, the XUV700 continues with the same turbo petrol and diesel engines with manual as well as automatic options. These updates we feel are timely and enable the XUV700 to maintain its popularity.
