Auto Expo 2023: New Kia Carnival Multi-Purpose Vehicle Unveiled In India

Kia Carnival Auto Expo 2023: The sliding powered doors are a hallmark of the new Carnival while the space inside is huge with a more luxurious upholstery being used.

Kia has finally pulled off the covers from its new Carnival MPV and this is the new generation model which has been shown in India for the first time. The current Carnival has been around for a long time and hence, the new generation model is much bigger and packed with a lot of new features as well.

Design-wise, the new Carnival gets a bolder look and looks less like an MPV now with a sleeker face while the visual bulk is disguised well. The new Carnival is now one of the longest cars in India with a length of 5156mm and that is a lot more than the current generation model.

All that has been translated to a lot more space on the inside with captain seats and multiple seating configurations.

The dashboard has dual 12.3-inch screens and a rotary drive selector while the design along with quality is more luxurious now too.

The sliding powered doors are a hallmark of the new Carnival while the space inside is huge with a more luxurious upholstery being used.

There is a lot more on offer in regards to features now including ADAS features and more comfort-focused amenities like 3-zone climate control and more.

The new gen Carnival will continue with a large diesel engine along with an automatic gearbox while abroad the new Carnival gets a large petrol engine too.

For India, the new generation Carnival will be carrying a higher price tag with the amount of luxury on board plus the size hence, it is more of a rival to the likes of the Toyota Vellfire rather than the Innova Hycross though the top-end Hycross and the Carnival will somewhat be expected to have a similar price-point.

Premium MPVs have seen a huge demand in terms of luxury and the need to travel more, hence, the Carnival fits right in.
