Audi Q9 To Be Their Biggest SUV And Will Rival The BMW X7 And Mercedes GLS

It is aimed at markets like China and the US where big SUVs rule but the Q9 would be an important product for India as well since it could slot above the Q7.

Audi is expanding their SUV line-up and their biggest SUV would be the upcoming Q9. As the name suggests, the Q9 would be even bigger than the Q7 while being a full size SUV with being massive in size. It is aimed at markets like China and the US where big SUVs rule but the Q9 would be an important product for India as well since it could slot above the Q7.

Audi Q9: Design and Features

The Q9 would be a big SUV and will feature aggressive styling cues more inline with the new generation of Audi SUVs. In terms of length, it would be much larger than a Q7 with a bigger grille along with a longer rear door plus a longer wheelbase too. The interiors would be feature rich and luxurious as expected but the Q9 will focus on the rear seat with a 6-seater layout with individual seats along with more space.

Audi Q9: Powertrain and Launch Details

Engine options will range from a six cylinder petrol to hybrids while there would be a V8 too for the SQ9 variant. The Q9 has been in the talks for a long but finally will be revealed by next year. At over 5m in length, the Q9 would be massive and aimed at the luxurious 7-seater SUVs with the arch rivals being the BMW X7 and the Mercedes-Benz GLS. The Q9 most likely will come to India but the expected launch date is not clear while this would be one of their most expensive SUV yet as the price will be over the Q8 and Q7 for sure.
