After Punch EV, Tata Set To Launch Curvv And Harrier EVs This Year

The Coupe-style Curvv, positioned above the Nexon, rivals Hyundai's Creta. It is set to be the next launch after the Punch EV. It will debut as an electric vehicle before pushing out a petrol variant.

Tata.ev, which is making huge strides in the electric vehicle (EV) market, is eyeing an even bigger piece of the pie with its upcoming releases, expanding beyond the recently launched Punch EV. The company's will soon come up with two new electric vehicles — the Curvv and the Harrier — which, the company expects, will redefine the landscape of premium electric vehicles.

Launched on Wednesday, the Punch EV, Tata.ev's first electric vehicle built on the innovative 'acti.ev' pure electric vehicle architecture, showed the company's commitment to cutting-edge technology. The platform, defined by enhanced flexibility and superior packaging, could lay the foundation for future models. The Coupe-style Curvv, positioned above the Nexon, rivals Hyundai's Creta. It is set to be the next launch after the Punch EV. It will debut as an electric vehicle before introducing a petrol variant as well.

Following the Curvv, the Harrier EV, already showcased in concept form, is on the horizon. This platform introduces battery pack designs capable of providing a range between 300-600 km, accommodating both all-wheel drive and single motor configurations. Premium EVs will also benefit from a dual motor configuration, enhancing performance.

The design language across these models adheres to a common template, featuring aerodynamically optimized styling, a distinct grille, and a light bar. The interiors, inspired by the Nexon EV and the Punch EV, showcase a modern design with a digital logo on the steering wheel and large twin screens.

One of the standout features of the new platform is rapid charging capability, complemented by additional advantages such as a front trunk (frunk) and a flat floor. Tata.ev is clearly demonstrating its commitment to pushing the boundaries in the EV sector, aiming to maintain its leadership in market share. After the successful launches of the Nexon and Punch, the company's focus now shifts to the premium compact SUV segment, where the eagerly anticipated Curvv EV and the Harrier EV are poised to make a significant impact.
