Mashrafe Mortaza Steps Down As Bangladesh ODI Skipper
Bangladesh cricketer Mashrafe Mortaza stepped down as his national team's ODI captain after leading his side to a 3-0 whitewash over Zimbabwe in his last assignment as the limited overs skipper. Under his captaincy, Mortaza led Bangladesh to 50 wins in 88 ODIs, becoming the most successful ODI skipper of his nation till date.
Mortaza, who made his senior team debut in 2001, was first named Bangladesh's ODI captain in 2010. He led the team to the semi-final of the 2017 Champions Trophy and the quarter-final of the 2015 World Cup, after taking over as the white-ball captain in November 2014.
