Breaking News: Early Elections Possible in Canada As PM Justin Trudeau's Position Stands at Risk
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, a supporter of the Khalistan movement, has dealt a significant blow to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau by withdrawing his party's support from the government. The NDP announced this decision through a video on social media on Wednesday afternoon. Singh stated in the video that Trudeau has repeatedly shown he will always bow to corporate interests and has disappointed the public. According to Singh, Trudeau is not deserving of another chance from the Canadian people. The process of ending the agreement had been underway for the past two weeks, according to an NDP spokesperson. The party only informed the Liberal government of their decision after the video was posted online. A senior government source revealed that the Prime Minister's Office was notified at 12:47 PM, and Singh posted the video at 12:55 PM. The trust and supply agreement between the two parties, established in March 2022, had committed the NDP to support the Liberal government and ensured its survival. This was the first formal agreement between the two parties at the federal level. In response, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that the NDP should focus on what they can do for Canadians rather than engaging in political games. Trudeau expressed hope that the next election would not occur before June, allowing his government to continue working on healthcare, dental care, and school programs. Government House Leader Karina Gould also expressed surprise, noting that there had been no indications that the NDP was planning to end the agreement.
