Udaipur Case: Why the government kept sleeping after Kanhaiya's request for safety?

A tailor in Udaipur was murdered by 2 men in broad daylight. The culprits murdered the man because his son put a status appreciating Nupur Sharma's Prophet Muhammad remarks.  Article 144 has been imposed in Rajasthan for one month. This step comes after the people of the state have broken out into violent protests in the streets. Initially, a curfew was imposed in the state however the increasing violence lead to the imposition of Article 144. Also The post-mortem report of 48-year-old Kanhaiya Lal revealed that he had sustained 26 grievous cuts on his neck. After the postmortem examination, the body of Kanhaiya Lal was handed over to family members for last rites.
