Protesting farmers demanded PM's intervention in the ongoing conflict between farmers & govt
The fourth round of talks were held between protesting farmers and the Centre on Sunday. During the discussions between farmer leaders and a panel of three Union ministers, a proposal was put forth suggesting that government agencies would procure pulses, maize, and cotton at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for a period of five years through agreements with farmers. However, Farmer leaders refused the proposal, saying it was not in favour of farmers. The protesting farmers have now demanded PM Modi's intervention in the matter.
