Ambaji Temple is situated amidst the Aravalli mountain ranges in the northern part of Gujarat. Ambaji Temple is a world famous pilgrimage place. It has been told in the Puranas that earlier there was a forest called Ambika Van. Ambaji is situated at an altitude of 1580 feet above sea level. The actual idol of the goddess is not worshiped in the Ambaji temple. Instead the Bisa Yantra is worshiped in the temple.
