Lok Sabha members on Tuesday urged the government to prepare to deal with the tentacles of Omicron, the new variant of coronavirus.

Sounding alarm for Maharashtra, eight new cases of Covid-19 variant Omicron have been detected in the state, taking the state tally to 28, officials said on Tuesday.
