Lumpy Virus: Viral photo claims thousands of cows killed by virus, dumped in yards | ABP News

Madhya Pradesh administration has banned the transportation of cattle after over 2,100 of them were found infected with the viral infection Lumpy skin disease across 10 districts. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan directed officials, on Friday to take extra precaution and ban the transportation of bovine animals from other states in the areas affected by the disease.

“As many as 2,171 cattle have been affected by this disease across 10 districts of the state. Of these, the health of 1,717 animals has improved. So far 77, 534 animals have been vaccinated," said an official, as reported by PTI.
