On this, the local people of Varanasi said that they are thrilled to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor. They also called it a 'Historic Day'. The corridor took almost 3 years to get ready. It is built to connect the banks of the Ganga River with the Kashi Vishwanath Temple for easy accessibility to pilgrims.
