A major tragedy struck when a dilapidated bridge collapsed despite repeated warnings from local residents. Reports confirm that 15 people have died and three are still missing, nearly 24 hours after the incident. The rescue operation is still ongoing, with NDRF and local authorities working round the clock.According to villagers, the administration was repeatedly alerted about the bridge’s dangerous condition. Residents had warned officials that the structure was old, decaying, and at risk of collapse, but no action was taken. This negligence has now resulted in a devastating loss of lives.Eyewitnesses say the bridge gave way suddenly, plunging those on it into the river below. Bodies are still being recovered, and hope remains for locating the missing persons. Officials have now initiated an inquiry into the administrative failure and are facing public outrage over their inaction despite prior warnings.
