Unity Day: PM Modi Highlights Cultural, Linguistic And Social Pillars Strengthening India’s Integrity

During his National Unity Day address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the four key pillars that uphold India’s unity, culture, linguistic, social, and infrastructural. Speaking at the Statue of Unity, he recalled how earlier governments ignored symbols of colonial legacy for decades, citing examples like the Indian Navy’s flag and the neglected recognition of freedom fighters. Modi highlighted his government’s efforts in honoring national icons such as Sardar Patel, Subhas Chandra Bose, and B.R. Ambedkar, as well as initiatives like the Police Memorial and renaming of Andaman islands. He praised India’s cultural strength, linguistic diversity, and modern connectivity projects like Vande Bharat trains and expressways as unifying forces. Stressing equality and inclusive growth, he urged citizens to rise above division, reaffirming the pledge for “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat”. A united, developed, and self-reliant India.
