Sringar Gauri Temple Vs Gyanvapi Masjid: Locals say 'everything will be cleared after Survey'

From Friday, a team of court-appointed lawyers will commence video-graphic surveying and inspecting the Maa Shringar Gauri Sthal in the Kashi Vishwanath-Gyanvapi complex in Varanasi. The situation could become contentious, as the management committee of the Gyanvapi mosque has already stated that it will appeal to the local court's decision. Last Monday, S M Yasin, joint secretary of the Anjuman Intejamiya Masjid Managing Committee, announced that no one would be permitted to enter the mosque. According to some sources, the Muslim side has indicated that videography should be limited to the Kashi Vishwanath temple grounds and that no "non-believer" will be permitted to enter the mosque.
