Srinagar News: Another batch of Amarnath pilgrims leaves from Pantha Chowk base camp
Another batch of Amarnath pilgrims departed on the 8th day from Pantha Chowk Srinagar base camp on July 11. Notably, the Amarnath Yatra commenced on June 29 and will conclude on August 19. The Amarnath Yatra is a significant annual pilgrimage in India, particularly for followers of Hinduism. It involves a trek to the Amarnath cave, located in the Himalayas in Jammu and Kashmir. The cave is famous for its naturally formed ice stalagmite, which is believed to represent the Hindu god Shiva. Pilgrims undertake this challenging journey during the summer months, typically in July and August, to seek blessings and participate in religious rituals at the cave. It's considered one of the most important religious journeys in Hinduism.
