Search Operation Continues on Fourth Day in Samej Village, 36 Missing People Still Untraced | ABP News

A severe cloudburst in Samej village on the Shimla-Kullu border has led to the disappearance of 36 individuals. The search operation, which entered its fourth day on Thursday (August 4), continues to scour the area for the missing. The flood caused by the cloudburst has devastated the entire village, sweeping away 36 residents, including 18 women, 8 children, and 10 men. Since August 1, rescue operations have been underway, led by district administration, but no trace of the missing individuals has yet been found. The operation involves the Army, NDRF, SDRF, police, Home Guards, CISF, and fire services, using live detector devices and sniffer dogs to aid in the search. The Rampur treasury office will remain open until midnight to ensure that relief efforts are not hindered. A total of 301 personnel are involved in the search, including 67 from NDRF, 69 police officers, 30 ITBP personnel, 110 Army soldiers, and 25 CISF members.
