SC on reservation in NEET: Not a fundamental right

Several parties in Tamil Nadu had filed a petition in the Supreme Court on the matter of 50 per cent OBC reservation in Tamil Nadu for seats in medical colleges under NEET. A hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Thursday. 

In the NEET Reservation case in Tamil Nadu, the court said that reservation is not a fundamental right. Simultaneously, the court refused to accept a petition filed by several political parties in Tamil Nadu.
