POK Protests Escalate: Pakistan Forces Open Fire, 19 Killed, Internet Suspended

Protests against Pakistan’s occupation in PoK (Pakistan-occupied Kashmir) have entered their fifth consecutive day, with demonstrators expressing growing anger over administrative and economic neglect. Since 29 September, citizens have taken to the streets, chanting slogans against Pakistan, demanding basic necessities such as subsidized flour, electricity, and the removal of reserved assembly seats for refugees. Protesters are adamant about their 38-point demand list and have refused to relent. International attention is now focused on PoK, as images and videos of the protests, injuries, and the ongoing crackdown emerge. The situation remains tense, with authorities struggling to control the escalating civil unrest.
