Operation BEACON: Snow clearance on Srinagar-Leh road completed

Srinagar-Leh national highway is likely to reopen by the end of this month after Border Roads Organisation (BRO) completed the snow clearance on the highest motorable Zojilla Pass in record time this year. The operation was completed in “record” 18 days. The Beacon will now carry out repair and maintenance work on the road to make it motorable. In just 18 days, the concerned force has managed to clear the area up to the zero point on the Zojila top.
