Nirbhaya Case: No mercy plea pending with President

No mercy plea of the convicts in Nirbhaya case, is pending with the President as of now. The mercy petition of Mukesh, who is one of the convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gangrape and murder case, is likely to be sent to the President by the evening .
Earlier in December, convict Vinay had filed a mercy petition before the President, but later withdrew it.

The Delhi LG has sent the petition to the Home Ministry, which will, in turn, forward it to the President for final call.
