MP: What social distancing? 200 Congress leaders join BJP in an event

The Kamal Nath government collapsed in Madhya Pradesh in March 2020 after 22 Congress MLAs close to Jyotiraditya Scindia switched sides and joined BJP. Now, ahead of the by-elections for those 22 vacant seats, 200 Congress workers joined BJP in a political event. Although those in attendance wore masks, they sat close to each other in clear violation of social distancing guidelines. Which begs the question, are election preparations more important than Coronavirus precautions?
