Former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Friday questioned the central government on the assertions that the situation in Jammu and Kashmir was normal, claiming that it had taken away what genuinely belonged to the people of the erstwhile state.

"If the situation is normal in Kashmir, why are dissenting voices disallowed here. They have taken away our flag, they have taken away our dignity, and they want us to submit to this high-handedness," the Peoples Democratic Party leader told the media
