LS Polls 2024: BJP's Radha Mohan Singh Eyes Fourth Straight Term From Purvi Champaran In Bihar
The Purvi Champaran Lok Sabha seat in Bihar came into existence in 2008 following the delimitation exercise.
It comprises six assembly segments and has been a BJP stronghold with sitting MP, Radha Mohan Singh undefeated from here since 2009. In the 2024 elections, the BJP has renominated Radha Mohan Singh as its candidate from Purvi Champaran. He is in a direct fight with Rajesh Kushwaha of the Vikassheel Insaan Party, which is part of the INDIA alliance in Bihar. With the BJP's Radha Mohan Singh eyeing a consecutive fourth term, a section of the electorate, say, there has been development, but more needs to be done. "There are a lot of issues and a lot of issues have been resolved. Only two-three issues are left, like our Prime Minister had said that when I come again I will drink tea from the closed sugar mill here. That issue has not been completed yet and many issues like roads, overbridges, stations have been completed," says Local Businessman.
