Lakhimpur Kheri Tiger: Fear of Tiger Forces Residents to Stay Awake All Night | ABP News
There is widespread fear in Uttar Pradesh due to the increasing threat from wild animals. After the terror caused by wolves in Bahraich, the district of Lakhimpur Kheri is now facing the threat of tigers. Currently, a search operation is underway for eight tigers in the area. The search efforts involve the use of two drones and 20 cameras. In the past month, three people have lost their lives due to tiger attacks. Three days ago, in the Hyderabad area of Lakhimpur Kheri, a 45-year-old man named Amrish was killed by a tiger while cutting grass in Imliyapur village. Forest officials, led by DFO Sanjay Biswal, are using drone cameras to track the tiger. Biswal mentioned that efforts are ongoing to locate the tiger, especially since heavy rains have caused animals to move out of their usual habitats. Tigers can travel up to 10 kilometers in a day, making the search challenging. The forest department has set up four cages to capture the tigers. Biswal also mentioned that several NGOs are assisting in the operation, and they are determined to free the local population from this fear as soon as possible. Forest Minister has also issued directives to capture the eight tigers.
