India 76th Republic Day: PM Modi's Convoy Reaches Kartavya Path
India is all set to celebrate its 76th Republic Day on 26th January 2025, with all preparations completed. This year’s main event at Kartavya Path will feature two special tableaux celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Indian Constitution. Delhi Police has issued traffic advisories, informing commuters about road restrictions and diversions. Entry to the city limits will be restricted starting Saturday evening.For the Republic Day celebrations, over 70 companies of paramilitary forces and more than 15,000 police personnel will be deployed in the capital. As part of security measures, nearly 4,000 rooftops in New Delhi, North, and Central districts will be marked, and participants will receive security stickers. About 500 high-resolution AI-enabled cameras will be installed in nearby areas for enhanced monitoring.Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, tribal guests, and tableau artists during the parade and called for collective efforts to strengthen the nation. Special routes, drone surveillance, and CCTV monitoring will help maintain law and order.The Republic Day celebrations will begin with a tribute ceremony at the National War Memorial, where Prime Minister Modi will offer floral tributes. The Indian Air Force’s Inner Guard will include a sergeant and six corporals. On the eve of Republic Day, 942 police, fire, and civil defense personnel were awarded various bravery and service medals, including personnel deployed in Left Wing Extremism areas, Jammu and Kashmir, Northeast regions, and other areas.
