Election commission to announce strict SOPs for forthcoming elections

At 3.30 p.m. on Saturday, the Election Commission of India (ECI) will release the schedule for Assembly elections in Goa, Punjab, Manipur, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh. The Election commission is expected to announce strict Standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the upcoming elections. The election commission has earlier said that it is the responsibility of the commission to conduct safe assembly elections in the states.
