Election commission's SPECIAL preparations for upcoming Assembly elections

The Election Commission of India (ECI) will release the schedule for Assembly elections in Goa, Punjab, Manipur, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh at 3.30 p.m. on Saturday. It is going to be challenging for the Election Commission of India to host the assembly elections in the 5 major states as the country has entered the 3rd wave of COVID-19. However, EC is committed to conducting the elections on time with necessary precautions. The is expected to announce the new COVID-19 guidelines for the forthcoming elections.
