During the Hanuman Jayanti procession on Saturday evening, no effort was made to hoist a saffron flag at a mosque, according to Delhi Police Commissioner Rakesh Asthana. The declaration is in relation to the Jahangirpuri violence case, in which 23 people have been arrested so far. Eight of them have prior criminal convictions, according to the Delhi Police Chief.
