Bengaluru South BJP MP Tejasvi Surya and renowned Carnatic singer Sivasri Skandaprasad celebrated their wedding with a grand reception at Vruksha, Palace Grounds, on Sunday morning.

The event, which commenced at 11 AM, witnessed an impressive gathering of political leaders, artists, and supporters who came to extend their best wishes to the newlyweds.

Ahead of the reception, Tejasvi Surya made a unique request to his guests, urging them to avoid bringing flowers, bouquets, or dry fruits as gifts. In a video message in Kannada, he emphasised the environmental impact of such gifts, noting that nearly 85% of wedding flowers are discarded within 24 hours, and approximately 300,000 kg of dry fruits go unused at weddings annually.
