Corporate Travel Sees 15.8% Female Representation In 2024: Report. Check Which Sector Shines
City-wise, Mumbai leads the metro cities, with nearly 19 per cent of its corporate flyers being women, followed by Delhi at 18 per cent and Bengaluru at 17 per cent

In 2024, women accounted for approximately 15.8 per cent of flight bookings, meaning one in every six corporate flyers was a woman. This data comes from an analysis of corporate travel bookings by myBiz, MakeMyTrip's SaaS-based corporate booking platform. myBiz serves over 64,000 corporate clients and has analysed flight bookings from nearly 3,000 organisations, each with more than 200 employees and an annual travel budget exceeding Rs 1 crore.
A sectoral breakdown reveals notable variations in the representation of women among corporate travellers. The education sector saw the highest percentage of women in corporate travel at 28 per cent, followed by media and entertainment at 25 per cent, and consulting at 22 per cent. In contrast, industries such as manufacturing, chemicals, electronics, energy, textiles, and pharmaceuticals had around 10 per cent female representation.
City-Wise Numbers
City-wise, Mumbai leads the metro cities, with nearly 19 per cent of its corporate flyers being women, followed by Delhi at 18 per cent and Bengaluru at 17 per cent. Hyderabad at 13 per cent, Kolkata and Ahmedabad at 12 per cent, and Chennai and Pune at 11 per cent round out the list. The Mumbai-Bengaluru, Delhi-Bengaluru, and Mumbai-Delhi routes had the highest representation of women travellers.
