Delhi News: Major Technical Glitch at IGI Airport Fixed After Hour-Long Flight Disruption

A major technical glitch at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Friday caused significant disruption to flight operations for over an hour. According to reports, the problem occurred in the Air Traffic Control’s (ATC) Automatic Message Switch (AMS) system, which handles crucial communication between control units and aircraft. The issue began around 9 a.m., leading to a delay in several domestic and international flights, while some had to be canceled due to the temporary breakdown. Sources from the Airports Authority of India (AAI) confirmed that the technical issue has now been rectified. Technical teams worked swiftly to restore the system, and the AMS has resumed normal operations.
