Deadly Landslide in Uttarakhand: One Worker Killed, Six Injured as Mountain Collapses

A devastating landslide struck the Tawaghat-Lipulekh National Highway near Najang in Uttarakhand, sending massive rocks and debris tumbling down the hillside. The landslide occurred while workers from the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) were taking a tea break at a nearby shop. Without warning, a cascade of stones and soil crashed down on them, leaving no time to escape. One worker, identified as a Nepalese national, was killed instantly, while six others suffered injuries. Rescue teams swiftly responded, evacuating the injured to the Community Health Center in Dharchula for urgent medical care.
