Counter-Terror Operation: Jaish Commander Saifullah Among Three Terrorists Killed In Kishtwar, Search Continues

A major breakthrough has been achieved by Indian security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar district, where three terrorists, including Pakistani Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Saifullah, have been killed. The operation, which began on April 9 in the dense and mountainous Chhatru region, is still ongoing amid challenging weather and terrain conditions.Security forces had received intelligence inputs about the presence of two to three terrorists in the area, triggering a large-scale "Search and Destroy" operation. On Friday, one terrorist was killed and large quantities of weapons were recovered. Following an all-night combing operation, two more terrorists were eliminated on Saturday morning.Saifullah, the slain Jaish commander, had been active for over two years in the Kishtwar-Doda belt and was allegedly involved in multiple attacks on security forces and the killing of Village Defense Guards last year. He was also reportedly recruiting local youth into terrorism. The recovery of an M4 magazine and AK-47 rifle from the site indicates the scale of the threat. An official press briefing by the Army is expected around 11 am to provide further details. Security forces are maintaining a tight vigil, anticipating the presence of more militants in the area.
