CBSE Portal Delayed: Students Face Trouble as Website Remains Under Maintenance
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is facing questions after its official portal for answer sheet verification and revaluation did not become operational as scheduled on June 1. According to the earlier notification issued on May 29, the portal was expected to go live today to allow Class 12 students to apply for rechecking and revaluation of their exam copies. However, students attempting to access the portal reported that it continues to display an “under maintenance” message, making it impossible to proceed with applications. This has created confusion and frustration among candidates who were preparing to submit requests for verification of their evaluated answer sheets. Students had reportedly already identified discrepancies in their answer sheets, including unclear markings, evaluation errors, and other concerns that they intended to raise through the revaluation process. Many had been waiting for the portal to open after an earlier postponement announced by the board. The delay has raised concerns about procedural readiness and digital infrastructure reliability, especially at a time when students are working against strict timelines for admissions and further academic planning. Several students and parents have also expressed anxiety over the uncertainty surrounding the revised schedule. Education experts note that such delays can impact academic timelines and admission processes, particularly for students awaiting updated marks before applying to universities or competitive courses. As of now, CBSE has not issued a fresh update regarding the exact time of activation of the portal. Students continue to wait for official clarification, hoping the technical issues will be resolved soon so that the revaluation process can begin without further disruption.
