One police personnel SPO Mohammad Altaf has lost his life and Sg Ct Manzoor Ahmad has been injured in an ongoing operation in Budgam, said Kashmir Zone Police.

An encounter is underway between the security forces and terrorists at Beerwah in the Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. "Encounter has started at Beerwah area of Budgam. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow," the Kashmir Zone Police (KZP) tweeted.
