Breaking: PM Modi Highlights Key Development Plans and Tourism Growth in His Speech During Uttarakhand Visit
During his visit to Uttarakhand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the rapid development in the state over the past decade, attributing it to the collaborative efforts of the state and central governments. He praised the progress made in infrastructure, such as the Char Dham, all-weather roads, modern expressways, and the expansion of railways, air travel, and helicopter services. Modi mentioned that the central government recently approved major projects, including the Kedarnath Road and Hemkund Sahib projects. The new Kedarnath road will significantly reduce travel time, making the journey from 8-9 hours to just 30 minutes, making it more accessible for women, children, and the elderly. The projects are expected to cost around a thousand crore rupees. The Prime Minister also discussed the focus on developing eco-friendly infrastructure, including an eco-tourism convention center, helipads, and improved tourism infrastructure in places like Timmersain Mahadev, Mana village. He emphasized the importance of promoting tourism in border areas and highlighted the Vibrant Village Program to develop remote villages and improve local livelihoods. Modi also announced financial support for home stay development, ensuring greater tourism and employment opportunities in these areas.
