However, this year’s celebrations also coincided with growing political tension surrounding the Waqf Amendment Bill. Amid the joy, some Muslim organizations and political parties, including the RJD, have expressed strong opposition to the bill. Posters have appeared in Patna calling for the cancellation of the Waqf Bill, and some protesters even wore black armbands while offering prayers. The bill, which deals with the regulation of Waqf properties, has sparked concerns among Muslim leaders who argue that it unfairly targets the community. Despite these tensions, security arrangements have been tight, with flag marches conducted in sensitive areas like Sambhal, ensuring a peaceful Eid celebration across the nation.
