Breaking News: Cloudburst Devastates Jammu and Kashmir’s Ramban District, Causing Flash Floods and Fatalities

In a devastating incident in Ramban, Jammu and Kashmir, heavy rainfall caused flash floods and landslides early on Sunday morning, leading to widespread destruction. Three people have been confirmed dead, and over 100 individuals have been rescued. The sudden onslaught of rain and debris caused severe damage, engulfing numerous homes, shops, vehicles, and a large hotel. A local resident shared, "A lot of damage has been done, a lot of loss has occurred, sir." The torrential downpour has also led to the closure of several routes, including the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, due to landslides. Additionally, the water in the Chenab River has turned murky, further complicating the situation. Emergency teams are working tirelessly to assist those affected, but the scale of the disaster has left many in shock. The region remains on high alert as authorities continue to assess the full extent of the damage caused by the calamity.
