BREAKING: Blurred CBSE Class 12 Answer Sheets Raise Doubts Over On-Screen Evaluation Process

The digital evaluation system of the Central Board of Secondary Education has once again come under intense scrutiny after Class 12 students reportedly received blurred scanned copies of their answer sheets. The controversy has raised serious concerns about the reliability and transparency of the board’s on-screen marking (OSM) system. According to reports, a student shared a scanned copy of their evaluated answer sheet with the media, and several portions of the document appeared unclear and difficult to read. The blurred quality of the scan has now triggered a major question — were teachers also given similarly unclear copies for evaluation during the checking process? If so, experts and parents are questioning how accurate marking could have been ensured under such conditions. The issue has reignited concerns that had earlier been flagged by technicians and teachers involved in the digital evaluation process. Sources had claimed that some answer sheets suffered from poor resolution, broken pixels, and unclear handwriting visibility after scanning. While such instances were initially believed to be isolated, the latest evidence shared by students has intensified public concern over possible technical flaws in the system. Teachers had also reportedly indicated that while many scanned copies were readable, certain answer sheets were extremely difficult to assess due to image quality problems. The controversy now raises fears that even a small number of affected scripts could impact students’ academic performance and future opportunities. The CBSE’s on-screen marking process was introduced to improve efficiency, transparency, and faster result processing. However, the latest allegations have prompted fresh demands for an independent review of the scanning and evaluation mechanism. Students and parents are now seeking clarity on whether quality control checks were properly conducted before answer sheets were uploaded for assessment.
