JDU chief Nitish Kumar resigned as the Chief Minister of Bihar and handed over his resignation to state governor Rajendra Arlekar at Raj Bhavan. As per the sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated Nitish Kumar over his resignation as Chief Minister of Bihar and on joining the Bharatiya Janata Party. "I have resigned from the post of chief minister today. The new Grand Alliance that we created (in August 2022) is not in a good condition. The situation is not looking good.", said Nitish Kumar.
